INTRODUCTION
The art of applying plan, feel, clothing development, and typical magnificence to clothes and its embellishments is known as style configuration. It has changed with time and space and is influenced by culture and different patterns. A style fashioner creates clothes for clients, such as dresses, suits, skirts, pants, and accessories like totes and shoes. The individual may operate in more than one of these areas, or they may devote a lot of effort to the dress, frill, or adornments plan.
TYPES OF FASHION
Articles of clothing created by dress makers fall into three primary classifications, albeit these might be separated into extra, various sorts.
1. Haute couture
2. Ready-to-wear (prêt-à -porter)
3. Mass market
HAUTE COUTURE
Up until the 1950s, most fashion apparel was made to order or haute couture (French meaning high-sewing), with each item being crafted for a particular customer. Custom-made for each unique buyer, a couture garment is typically produced from pricey, high-quality fabric and sewed with meticulous attention to detail and finish, frequently utilizing labor-intensive, hand-executed techniques. The cost of materials and production time are subordinated to fit and appearance. Due to the high cost of each garment, haute couture makes little direct profit for the fashion houses, but is important for prestige and publicity.
Ready-to-wear (prêt-à -porter)
Haute couture and mass market fashion are combined to create prêt-à -porter, or ready-to-wear, clothing. Although the cloth is carefully chosen and trimmed, they are not manufactured for particular customers. Clothes are relatively pricey since they are manufactured in limited quantities to ensure uniqueness. Fashion houses typically showcase their ready-to-wear collections at Fashion Week, which takes place every season. Twice a year, this happens throughout the entire city. The spring/summer, fall/winter, resort, swim, and bridal seasons are Fashion Week's primary seasons.
Mass market
At present, the fashion industry predominantly depends on mass-market sales. This segment serves a diverse customer base by creating ready-to-wear clothing that reflects trends established by renowned fashion designers. Typically, these brands delay production for a season to ascertain the popularity of a style before launching their interpretations of the original design. To reduce costs and expedite the manufacturing process, they often utilize less expensive materials and straightforward production methods that are easily executed by machinery. Consequently, the final products can be offered at significantly lower prices.
